The Chapel of Mary

| On May 24, 1955, the Chapel of Mary, Mother of the Human Race, was
solemnly blessed and dedicated. The chapel is constructed of rock quarried from the
cliff. Bronze doors open to reveal warm polished marble, magnificent statues and
beautiful murals. The chapel, which seats over 500 people for religious services,
reflects the splendor which has earned it world-wide recognition. Above the altar is
the chapels major art work, "The Coronation of the Virgin Mary in Heaven,"
painted by renowned Spanish artist, Jose' DeSoto. |
