The Christian doctrine which we most closely associate with St. Patrick is
that of the Trinity. It is said that he taught it to the Irish by plucking a
shamrock from the spot where he stood and using its three-in-one leaf to illustrate the
Trinity.
Your Intentions
It is recomended that this very brief prayer be offered through the intercession of St.
Patrick to strengthen one's faith and to win the grace of faith for others.
On The Medal: Say the Apostles' Creed
On Each Bead: Say Glory be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as it was in the
beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth, and in Jesus
Christ, His only Son, Our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin
Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilot, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into
to hell; the third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into Heaven, sitteth at
the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living
and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of
saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
