Therapy Services at The Grotto

Therapy Process: Counseling is essentially a relationship between the client and the counselor. In therapy the client talks openly and honestly about him/herself while the counselor listens and facilitates talking so the client understands the significance of what is said and done.
In the course of therapy, thoughts, feelings and experiences in the client’s past and present life come to light in ways that clarify the nature of his or her personality and the origin of the difficulties experienced. Therapy, then, offers the support to foster the client’s desired change. The client is responsible for deciding the ultimate course of action as he or she gains the ability to understand and implement change.

Treatment: Your counselor will work with you to establish your goals for therapy and a treatment plan to achieve those goals. These are your goals and plan. You may review and revise your goals and plans at any time during the course of your therapy.

Confidentiality: All counseling sessions and records are confidential. The Grotto Counseling Center is HIPPA compliant.
