Special Projects
From time-to-time The Grotto embarks on special projects to enhance its grounds. Below you will find several different projects currently underway to enhance the reflective space. We hope you will support these important endeavors as we always aim to keep The Grotto as a place of solitude and peace.
Labyrinth: Walking Your Spiritual Journey
Our dream is to build a permanent labyrinth on the upper level of The Grotto, near the Peace Pond. It will be constructed in such a way as to compliment the natural beauty of The Grotto’s grounds, and will provide a year-round opportunity for people to engage in this form of walking prayer and meditation.
Walking a labyrinth can be viewed as a metaphor for our life journey, and is a wonderful way to experience our connection with the life journey of Jesus. Like Jesus, we experience many ups and downs. Each step on the labyrinth path has the potential to draw us closer to Jesus and to express our solidarity with Him.
Your financial support is needed to fund the labyrinth at The Grotto. Please join this wonderful effort! Dambana, Filipino Faith Shrine
The Dambana, the Filipino Faith Shrine, is the newest shrine on the upper level at The Grotto. It is the third shrine to be installed and complements the Polish Shrine as well as the Lithuanian Shrine. Please help support the up-keep of this beautiful shrine by donating to it today.
