Chaplets
“Chaplet” comes from the French word meaning wreath or crown, a set of beads strung together for counting prayers. This term is often used for the five-decade rosary (from rosarium, “rose-garden”), and is also applied to other devotions which use beads to count prayers or aspirations.
The Grotto Gift Shop is pleased to be able to provide these chaplets for the intercession of your favorite saints for your private meditation, or as a gift.
A Chaplet is an adaptation of the Rosary. A Chaplet is a special type of Rosary. It consists of devotional prayers said in honor of the Holy Trinity, Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ, Our Lady, the Angels, and Saints. The purpose is to increase devotion to that particular person to whom the prayers are dedicated. Also the Holy Chaplets are meant to help the faithful to enter into these prayers and thus grow in union with Christ, His Holy Mother, the Angels, and Saints.
