Scripture Study at The Grotto

First Corinthians

Thursday afternoons 3:00–4:30
May 15–July 31, 2014
The Grotto Auditorium

Come join Fr. Ignatius Kissel, OSM, for an eleven-week series of classes and an in-depth study of the First Letter to the Corinthians.

What was originally part of an ongoing dialog between Paul and the community at Corinth has become vital in today’s Christian worship. We will look at the Corinthian community through Paul’s viewpoint, highlighting the struggles and issues of the Corinthian society. Paul’s attempt to reform this early society can be used to refocus the Christian community today–a community that faces similar struggles.

Classes meet every Thursday afternoon, 3:00–4:30, May 15 through July 31. Cost is $20 for class, text, and materials. Meet in The Grotto Auditorium. Registration required; register call 503.254.7371.

You may bring your own Bible.  Donations accepted for The Grotto Spirituality Program.
