We adore You, O Christ, and we bless You,
because by Your holy Cross You have redeemed the world

XII. Jesus dies on the cross.
Mk. 15:33-37
At noon darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon.
And at three o'clock Jesus cried out in a load voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lema
sabachthani?" which is translated, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken
me?" Some of the bystanders who heard it said, "Look, he is calling
Elijah." One of them ran, soaked a sponge with wine, put it on a read, and gave
it to him to drink, saying, "Wait, let us see if Elijah comes to take him down."
Jesus gave a loud cry and breathed his last.
Our Father, Who art in heaven; hallowed be Thy
name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our
daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to
the
Holy Spirit; as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen.
Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with You;
blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary,
Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Jesus Christ crucified, have mercy on us.
